During the bottom of the 2nd inning of the College World Series game between Oregon State and North Carolina, a fan was caught on camera sleeping in the stands. The cameramen soon realized this fan has been asleep for a while and kept showing him on TV.

The announcers in the booth were fascinated how this fan could stay asleep in the stands during a College World Series game. They were taking bets seeing how long this man could stay asleep. Sideline reporter Laura Rutledge got in on the action too. She went and sat right in front of the fan, whispering to the announcers in the booth updating them on this fan. She made sure to whisper so she wouldn’t wake him up. She informed viewers confirming he was breathing and he was just very tired from a long day of baseball. Finally, with 2 outs in the top of the 3rd inning, one of the stadium workers came over with a bottle of water to wake the fan up to make sure he was okay.

The sleeping fan, Tim, was able to enjoy the rest of the game and watch Oregon State eliminate North Carolina to stay alive in the college world series.
